While we anxiously await the spring 2026 deliveries of our two Cirrus SR Series G7s to CalAir, we’re excited to share what makes the new G7 Series special.

The transition to the Cirrus G7 ushers in a new era of personal flight, where technology from the Cirrus Vision Jet meets the convenience and freedom of flying a small personal aircraft. The all-new G7 is the first-ever piston aircraft to incorporate dual Garmin Touch Controllers. It features larger Perspective Touch+ high-resolution displays with expanded systems integration, enabling a more intuitive flight deck experience, reducing pilot workload, and increasing situational awareness. The interior creates a refined inflight experience for the pilot and passengers, increasing comfort for every occupant with easy-to-see and understand flight details such as – current position, fuel level, destination arrival time, and more. The SR Series G7+ introduces the world’s first FAA-approved autonomous emergency landing system integrated into a single-engine piston aircraft. Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland provides the pilot and passengers with an automated landing option in the event of an emergency.

The Perspective Touch+ flight deck now integrates more systems including:

Larger, high-resolution 12” or optional 14” widescreen displays to streamline tasks.
Garmin Touchscreen Controllers with intuitive icons and a shallow menu structure.
CAS-linked checklists and Checklist Scroll Wheel to easily navigate through checklists.
Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi to simplify airport ground navigation.

Continuously innovating with safety in mind, the team at Cirrus has also introduced additional advanced safety features to the Cirrus SR Series G7. While you may be familiar with the Cirrus Airframe Parachute System (CAPS) and Perspective Touch+ avionics, there are numerous other features in Cirrus aircraft designed to prevent the need for last-resort emergency procedures.

Safe Return™ Emergency Autoland: Emergency Autoland provides the pilot and passengers with an automated landing option in the event of an emergency. (available in the G7+)
An upgraded Perspective Touch+ flight deck with high-resolution 12” or optional 14” displays.
Stick Shaker for enhanced low-speed situational awareness, alerting both pilot and copilot through yoke vibrations when there is a risk of an imminent stall.
Flap Airspeed Protection which monitors airspeed to prevent accidental flap deployments or retractions when the aircraft is traveling too fast or too slow
Taxiway Routing and 3D SafeTaxi provide increased awareness in the airport environment.

Intelligent Aircraft Connection system providing real-time insights into the aircraft’s health.

Aircraft Systems Synoptic Pages display a visual blueprint of the health and status of the aircraft systems, including fuel, electrical and ice protection.
The Cirrus IQ mobile app checks for key aircraft readiness items – maintenance, technical publications, trip achievements, real-time status of fuel and oxygen levels, aircraft location, flight hours and more.

Enhanced Power and Connectivity

The 2026 SR Series G7+ aircraft advances connectivity with enhancements to Cirrus Global Connect and higher-power USB-C ports designed to provide seamless power to modern devices like Starlink.
Cirrus Global Connect offers the only fully integrated global weather and communication solution for continuous global connectivity on the SR Series and now delivers a broader range of weather products, including storm cell movement, turbulence, icing, surface visibility and more. Weather updates are now automatic every five minutes along the flight route, reducing pilot workload.
Options to communicate via the integrated Iridium network or bring a Starlink onboard
