Safety is at the heart of everything we do.
At CalAir, safety isn’t a feature—it’s the foundation.
As a longstanding and accident-free training provider, as well as a Platinum Certified Training Center, one thing takes precedence above all else—safety. As it should.
We have very high expectations for not only our staff pilots and our incredible maintenance partners, Kim Davidson Aviation, but also for everyone that is part of the CalAir family of pilots. When everyone involved is held to a high standard, we can all fly with greater confidence.
Here are a few examples of how we go above and beyond:
✔ Instead of the FAA required 100-hour inspection intervals, we do 50-hour inspections on all of our aircraft.
✔ We maintain strict currency requirements for all of our pilots.
✔ We exclusively fly Cirrus Aircraft featuring the CAPS parachute system.
✔ All renting pilots must complete recurrency training every six months, just like our TCIs.
✔ All TCIs (Training Center Instructors) are on a 6-month training refresher cycle.
What does all of this mean? You know you’re flying at a place where ongoing training and safety culture are built-in, especially when the instruction team is doing six-month refreshers.
Never stop learning. In aviation, that mindset isn’t optional—it’s essential. The skies reward those who stay sharp, stay curious, and stay respectful of the lifelong opportunity to fly.
Fly Safe,
Your CalAir Team
